Solar Energy for Japanese Households

As part of the “Fukuda Vision”, the Japanese Prime Minister’s plan of tackling global warming and in response to rising oil prices, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has worked out a new energy policy. This envisages subsidies and tax breaks to private households as means of spreading the use of solar energy in earnest.
