Saitama at COMPAMED and MEDICA 2021
After last year’s virtual COMPAMED and MEDICA, this year both trade fairs will be held again in their usual format from 15 to 18 November 2021 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Six companies from the Japanese prefecture of Saitama will use this opportunity to participate and present their technologies, being successful participants of Compamed/Medica in Dusseldorf and MT-Connect and MedTechLive in Nuremberg in recent years.
As well established location for manufacturing, Saitama has long since developed into a centre for precision engineering. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the region have been actively engaged in diverse research and development for decades devoting themselves in particular to the field of medical technology. World-leading technologies and unique know-how are the result of this development.
Within the framework of the “Medical Innovation Saitama Network” platform, Saitama offers companies from the medical technology sector, medical institutions as well as universities and research institutes the opportunity for intensive and interdisciplinary cooperation. More than 460 members are already participating in this exchange and are committed to promoting medical technology and related industries.
Just a 22-minute train ride north of Tokyo, Saitama Prefecture with its capital of the same name is part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Region. It boasts a well-developed high-speed transport network and, with Omiya Station, a central transport hub where six Shinkansen lines stop, making Saitama a top tier location with high potential for industrial development in the field of medical technology.
