Saitama Prefecture, with its capital of Saitama City, is located north of Tokyo (approx. 22 minutes by train) and, as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Region, has a well-developed high-speed rail network. With its Omiya Station as a central hub it is connected to six Shinkansen lines making the region a high potential location for industrial development in the medical technology sector.
